I do what I want!

I know all kids go through the I do everything myself stage but one particular night I just found it so funny because Molly just had it in her mind she was going to do what she wants. After her bath I was trying to get her pajamas on and all I managed to get on was a diaper when she got away from me. She ran into the her closet and got A sock and asked me to put it on (well she tried first and did really well trying but then asked me to). I got the one sock on her and was trying to get the rest of her pajamas on when she got away again and was saying "No, No, No"

This is Molly in her one sock and diaper saying bring it mom, what are you going to do about it!
She played for a while in her one sock and diaper and then decided that she wanted her pajamas on and attempted to put a one piece zip up pajamas by herself (see picture below) after a few minutes of not knowing how to get it on she finally gave in and asked for help.

Hats

Before the "big snow" here in Dallas Molly HATED wearing hats. She hated to even have a hood on or even for me to wear my jacket hood if it was raining. Well somehow we got her to put a hat on when it snowed and so now she likes to play with them and will wear them for a short amount of time. Here is Molly showing off three different styles of how you can wear mommy's winter beanie.

1) The Mad Hatter

2) Sup my homies

3) The sweet innocent country bonnet

I Love...

I cannot take credit for this post. I saw it on another blog, The Pioneer Woman, and really enjoyed it so I am copying the idea :)

I Love.....

my Savior, Jesus Christ.

my husband.

my daughter.

my family (that includes in-laws).

Friday evenings.

a good grilled steak.

climbing into bed with fresh warm clean sheets.

fishing at the coast.

dinner with friends.

quiet time alone.

Blue Bell Ice Cream.

old country music.

waking up on my own before everyone else to enjoy the quiet morning.

pickles.

Pride and Prejudice.

summer time.

when my house is clean.

stars at night.

slow pace of the country.

the beach.

memories of my childhood.

pizza.

the smell of babies after a bath.

Sunday nap.

This list could go on and on and I am sure that once I post this I will think of something really good that I love and should add to the list but this will have to do.

Bret and I usually don't do anything for Valentine's day but we did enjoy a nice evening at home with the three of us and to top it off we (well Molly) got a fun package in the mail from my mom. We don't get to see her much so she likes to send Molly fun things.

She got a cute outfit and fun pajamas

and a fun Valentine's coloring book.

Molly and I colored Bret a picture for Valentine's while he cooked a scrumptious dinner.

Grilled steak, fresh green beans, potatoes cooked in foil on the grill with onions, butter and garlic, a salad, and blue bell for dessert. By the way I did not finish that huge steak.

Snow???

If you have not already heard (just kidding) yes it did snow a lot for us folks here in Dallas. I know that everyone around here will be posting about their snow day, but come on it never snows here so snow post away I say! Molly was not a big fan but she eventually warmed up to it. Sorry for so many pictures but I had a hard time picking just a few.

Thursday when it was snowing.

Thursday night - still snowing and Molly not liking the flakes hitting her.

Friday morning!

Molly just looking at the snow outside. Every time we asked her do you want to go outside she said "no." But then after looking at it long enough she kept saying "snow, snow." So we took her out.

Not liking being in the snow.

When we put her on her play yard set she was much happier. By the way my child HATES hats and she is wearing one. It did not stay on long :)

Ahhhh much better with that hat off

Coloring

Molly has been pretty good so far about coloring on paper or her coloring book, but she did get carried away one day and got our coffee table. She also likes to pretend the crayon is lipstick and put some on when she is not coloring with it.

When you look like your daddy......

When you look like your daddy and you are a little girl, it is probably not a good idea for somebody to put you in boy clothes.

Before you read more please realize I make this post all in fun and I love my precious Molly and think she is the prettiest little girl but look at this picture. The poor thing. Her hair does not grow much and when it does it grows in a mullet (you can see a little of that in the picture) and she looks just like her daddy. I picked her up a few weeks ago from the sitter and she had to change Molly's clothes for some reason and all she had to put on her was her sons clothes. When I got home with her Bret wanted me to change her but I had to get a picture first :)

On a more serious note: Do we have a little pianist on our hands?
