Thanksgiving 2011 (Act 1 & 2)

Act 1:
We went over to Bret's grandparents on Thanksgiving day and ate some wonderful food and good visits with family.

Molly loves to play under their dinning room table.

Hattie and Audrey

The three cousins: Molly, Hattie, and Audrey

Act 2:
Friday we traveled to Cleveland, TX where both of my grandparents live.  We had Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family on Friday and my mom's on Saturday.  For confidentiality reasons (really just for the sake of not embarrassing my family members or myself) I cannot tell you everything that happened in Cleveland.  What happens in Cleveland stays in Cleveland and if you have ever been to an east Texas Thanksgiving then you might have some clue of what I am talking about.  We did have a great time and had lots of food.  I will say we did eat something different each day: Thursday - roasted turkey, Friday - fried turkey, and Saturday fried turkey and a delicious grilled pork tenderloin.

3 Months and a Turkey

What have we been up too.  Well we have a

3 month old, and a

turkey!

We have reached that pivotal 3 month mark.  Do I dare say she is sleeping through the night??  We will see if it was a lucky week or if she is being nice to mommy and starting to sleep through the night.  She has also ditched that fussy evening time (more like her witching hour) and is just happy unless she is hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper but look out if she is tired.  I don't know if fussy is the right word to describe her when she is tired.  Here is where my mom would say while pointing at me, even Bret for that matter, "I don't know where she gets that from."  Yes I do tend to lean more toward the cranky side when it is past my bed time and I am not asleep.  Hattie loves to give out smiles and will even give the occasional giggle.  I think Molly might get more giggles from her then all of us.  I am not sure that Hattie knows she is doing it yet but it is so sweet to hear.  She will only give out like two little giggles then look around like what just happened.  She gives lots of silent giggles or that is what I call them.  We will be trying to get her to giggle and she will just have her mouth wide open with that twinkle in her eye but no sound comes out.  Now she still hates the car seat so that sometimes makes for miserable car rides, but some days are better than others.

This morning was the Thanksgiving program at Molly's preschool.  Molly's class was turkeys.  Each class performed a few songs and then they had their feast.  I was shocked that Molly actually participated in some of the songs.

October Happenings

I have not had much time to do any blogging so I am keeping this one short (well word short but lots of pictures) and sweet.  Here are some pictures of all of the fall festivities we have been up to.

Picking pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch

Playing games at the Fall Festival, well making daddy play the games.  Molly was not interested or more like to scared to play any games.

We went to a friends party at a dance studio and Molly loved it!  Maybe we need to sign her up for some dance classes.

Halloween is also Bret's moms birthday so our intentions were to go over to her house have dinner and then take Molly trick-or-treating in the neighborhood but Molly had different plans.  She was to scared to go trick-or-treating and would not put on her costume so we just stayed and passed out candy.
