Is it Wrong?
Do not judge me but is it wrong that my child knows how to work my iphone? No she cannot call anyone or browse the internet, well she may on accident, but she knows how to get to her games and play them. She does not get to play it often because I want it to be something special that will keep her interest. Especially when waiting forever in the doctors office, waiting forever at a restaurant, or even long road trips.

Happy 90th Birthday!
That is right! My Granny turned 90 this past weekend and she is still going strong. This is my dad's step-mom. We had a great party for her at the church she attends and we had about 130 guests. She was amazed at all the people that came. The next morning she said she could not sleep because she just laid in bed going over and over again in her head of all the people that came. Happy Birthday Granny!

Awesome Concert
This past Tuesday Bret and I went to the David Gray concert at Nokia Theatre, which a great small venue to see concerts. By the way if you have not heard of David Gray you need to look him up because you are missing out :) We had a great time! The concert was AWESOME and our seats were great. We were center stage about 15 rows up. I could see the sweat glimmering on his forehead. We did not take a camera so the only shots I got were from my iphone which took some good pictures but does not do justice as to how close were were.

Hanging out with the Cousins
This past weekend we made the long trip down to Stockdale, TX to hang out with my family. It was my niece's 3rd birthday party too! The cousins had a lot of fun. Of course their favorite was playing outside. Our daily routine went something like this: wake up and eat breakfast, they ask to go outside when done but we say lets watch cartoons, they watch as much as they can take then ask to go outside again so we go out play a couple of hours(by the way the weather was great it was always in the upper 70s), come in eat lunch, kiddos and most adults take a nap, wake up and go back out side to play till supper, eat supper, take a bath and go to bed. I did not get any pics from my niece Rylan's birthday but I did get some of the cousins playing.

Rylan got this game for her birthday and they loved playing it. You can see the excitement in Molly's face as the butterflies were flying out of the elephants nose.

And of course lots of great bar-b-que and grilled food from my dad. A little ironic that the cows were curious and wanted to see what he was doing.

I do what I want!
I know all kids go through the I do everything myself stage but one particular night I just found it so funny because Molly just had it in her mind she was going to do what she wants. After her bath I was trying to get her pajamas on and all I managed to get on was a diaper when she got away from me. She ran into the her closet and got A sock and asked me to put it on (well she tried first and did really well trying but then asked me to). I got the one sock on her and was trying to get the rest of her pajamas on when she got away again and was saying "No, No, No"
She played for a while in her one sock and diaper and then decided that she wanted her pajamas on and attempted to put a one piece zip up pajamas by herself (see picture below) after a few minutes of not knowing how to get it on she finally gave in and asked for help.
This is Molly in her one sock and diaper saying bring it mom, what are you going to do about it!

Hats
Before the "big snow" here in Dallas Molly HATED wearing hats. She hated to even have a hood on or even for me to wear my jacket hood if it was raining. Well somehow we got her to put a hat on when it snowed and so now she likes to play with them and will wear them for a short amount of time. Here is Molly showing off three different styles of how you can wear mommy's winter beanie.

I Love...
I cannot take credit for this post. I saw it on another blog, The Pioneer Woman, and really enjoyed it so I am copying the idea :)
I Love.....
my Savior, Jesus Christ.
my husband.
my daughter.
my family (that includes in-laws).
Friday evenings.
a good grilled steak.
climbing into bed with fresh warm clean sheets.
fishing at the coast.
dinner with friends.
quiet time alone.
Blue Bell Ice Cream.
old country music.
waking up on my own before everyone else to enjoy the quiet morning.
pickles.
Pride and Prejudice.
summer time.
when my house is clean.
stars at night.
slow pace of the country.
the beach.
memories of my childhood.
pizza.
the smell of babies after a bath.
Sunday nap.
This list could go on and on and I am sure that once I post this I will think of something really good that I love and should add to the list but this will have to do.
Bret and I usually don't do anything for Valentine's day but we did enjoy a nice evening at home with the three of us and to top it off we (well Molly) got a fun package in the mail from my mom. We don't get to see her much so she likes to send Molly fun things.

Grilled steak, fresh green beans, potatoes cooked in foil on the grill with onions, butter and garlic, a salad, and blue bell for dessert. By the way I did not finish that huge steak.
