Pumpkin Carving Time!

Molly was so excited about carving the pumpkin. She picked out the stencil that she wanted for her pumpkin to look like and Bret did the dirty work. Molly did help scoop out maybe a handful of the insides but besides that she was just there for moral support and of course a picture or two with the tools from the carving kit.

The finished pumpkin.  They did a pretty good job.

This was my carving job!  Much cleaner!

Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch here in town this past week and could not have gone at a better time!  We went on a weekday around 5:30 after Bret had gotten home and there was not a person there!  Except the people that run it of course.  We had a private pumpkin patch time: took pictures, fed the animals, even our own private hay ride.

This picture makes me laugh.  It looks like Hattie is trying to copy the scarecrow.

State Fair Fun

We have not been to the Fair in probably four or five years.  Every time we drive into Dallas and Molly sees the ferris wheel she always asks if that carnival is open because she wants to ride that ferris wheel.  This year we gave it a go and took the girls.  We went the day before Big Tex burned down so we have a picture with him.  We ate food, rode the big ferris wheel, Molly rode some rides (of course she would not by herself so I had to be the lucky one) but she LOVED them, and saw all the animals.  I would say it was a successful trip!

60th Par-Tay

This past weekend we traveled down to my parents house southeast of San Antonio to party for my mom's 60th birthday.  The party was so much fun, especially since I did not think once about taking a picture during it.  We had about 60 guests, all of the cousins and aunts/uncles came too, good bar-b-que food, and beer of course.

I did manage some pre-party decorating pictures that Rylan and Molly did on the tree house.

A small break from decorating to see the cows.

This little girl found this slide and figured out how to get up and slide down.  She loved it!  No matter how graceful or not she came down.

So these were the only two pictures I took and this was the morning after the party when we were all eating breakfast which was all family and not everyone was even in the picture.  I also got yelled at after I took this picture.  Maybe because it was the next morning after a late night of partying and mostly everyone was still in their pajamas

Quick Catch Up

Well, no time for blogging in this house!  School is going great and we have gotten into the routine of it.  My class is really sweet and I love all my little kiddos.  I don't get a planning period during the day so my planning period starts after the kids are asleep, kitchen is cleaned from dinner, everything is ready for the next day, and some quiet time to talk to my husband when the kids aren't around.  Summer Lisa was the only one who would stay up till midnight and this is definitley not summer Lisa.

Molly has been taking dance and LOVES it!  I think this is the only picture I have of her.  It is right after school on Wednesdays so I never get a chance to take a decent picture.

Then there is little miss Hattie.  Love this little stinker!
