First Hair Cut....Kind of

Molly had her first official all over hair cut a couple of weekends ago when we went to visit my family. I know what you are thinking...what first hair cut? Well let me give you a little Molly hair (or lack there of) history.

Here is Molly getting her first official hair cut.  She was a little over a year and as you notice there really is no hair except for the mullet growing in the back. For some reason Molly's hair took FOREVER to grow on the front and sides but we were constantly having to trim the mullet.

See here, I think she is right at 2 and the sides and front have never been touched...still just trimming the back.

Again here, I would always get comments like what a cute little bob hair cut.  If they only knew...once again we are still just waiting for the sides and front to catch up so when we cut the mullet it looked like a cute bob.

Now somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 her hair wanted to give Rapunzel's a run for its money and just started growing like a weed.  So here is Molly at 3 1/2 getting a real hair cut.  We did not go crazy with the hair cut since it only took her 3 1/2 years (her whole life) to get this. However next hair cut I am thinking about cutting more off.  This girl does not like for me to fix it.

6 months - Hattie Jane

Weight:  17 lbs 5 oz
Height:  26 1/2 in

To miss Hattie:
  • You have started food.  You have only tried butternut squash so far but loved it.
  • You wear size 3 diapers and are in 6-9 month clothes but I have a feeling in about a month will be moving to 9 month clothes.
  • For the last month you have not been sleeping great.  The doctor said your gums were swollen so that could be causing it.  Who knows, but I would like it if you got back on your schedule, please :)
  • You are doing the tri-pod wobbly sit but not sitting on your own just yet.
  • Some days you don't make a peep and then the next day you talk ALL day long.
  • Molly still adores you and you adore her.  She can make you laugh or smile just walking in the room.
  • You are still a mommy's girl but will give out smiles to everyone as long as I am holding you.
  • I think your eyes are going to stay hazel.  We think you have your Nani's eyes because you certainly don't have brown ones like mom and dad.
  • You have the most impeccable timing for pooping the minute we get in the car and drive off far enough from the house. You ALWAYS poop on the days I work and are on the way to the sitter.  She knows when you show up you will have to be changed and 70% of those times you have exploded out of your diaper.

Weekend With My Family

This past weekend Bret had to meet with a client that lived about 45 minutes from my parents so we took that as an opportunity to visit my family.  We got there Thursday night and left Monday morning so of course the weekend was full of fun.  This really should be two posts but I did not feel like it.

It got really cold there so my mom made us and the kids go move the fire wood around to the back door, and yes the little ones helped.

Then the cows had to be fed.  My niece and nephew love to help feed.  Molly was not a huge fan.  She said there are just too many cows.

Love this little boy.  Colton always had on a hat of some sort.

He needs a little more driving practice.  He never looks at the road :)

Hattie loved jumping!

We had a tea party and everyone had to wear a hat.

Including my brother even if he was not aware of it.

Hattie was not left out either.

So much more happened but I am just keeping it short and sweet.
Good times, good times!

Check out These Locks

Can't you just see it!  All those whispy's?  Okay so maybe it is not a full head of hair but I think I could actually put a tiny bow in there.  This is Hattie at 5 1/2 months.  She already has Molly beat when Molly was this age.

This is Molly at 1 year old.  They basically have the same amount of hair.

I will try to post a baby picture of Molly and Hattie around the same age to see how similar they look.  Sometimes I think they look like each other but then sometimes they look so different.
