Hattie's 1st Birthday

So her party was really two weeks ago but I am just now getting it posted.

Hattie's party was short and sweet with just family.  She was not so sure about our singing but obliged us anyways and gave us a courtesy clap at the end.  She also did not care for the mess of the cake either.

1 Year Old!

A year ago we welcomed this precious girl into the world.  It is amazing how fast a year goes.  I am sure I will also say on each of my girls birthdays that I can't believe they are already a year older.  I mean really can you believe Hattie is already one!  I can't!

New York City!!

Bret surprised me with a trip to New York City! He had already gotten the okay from my parents to watch the girls before he sprung the surprise.  He did tell me a few weeks in advance so I could get things lined out with work and what not.  I had never been to New York.  Bret has been a few times and has been dying to take me so what a perfect anniversary gift for the two of us to get away.  We went about two weeks ago and stayed for four days. It is an amazing and overwhelming city!!  We did so much there.  We went to Central Park, Rockefeller, Time Square, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, Little Italy, shopping in SoHo,Wall Street, saw Mary Poppins on Broadway which was soooo good, lots and lots of eating, lots of walking and subway riding.  Our first morning there we had breakfast with some friends, Sherry and Trey, that were leaving that day to catch their flight home.  I am sure there are other things I forgot to mention.  We just did so much.  Sorry for such few pictures.  I have been having problems with my computer and getting the pictures off my camera so this is what I got.  We can't wait to go back!

I have been meaning to pull out some of the girls baby pictures just to compare them.  Hattie and Molly look nothing alike at the same age but oh my goodness does Hattie look like Molly when Molly is older.

Don't you think they look so much alike in the last two pictures?  I can see it now when they are older.  Hattie is going to be trying to use Molly's ID as a fake.  Well at least I can hope not!

Happy 4th Birthday Molly!

I am sure I will say this every year, but where does the time go!!  I cannot believe Molly is four.  Like every year Molly had two parties.  I am not sure what she is going to do the year she only has one.  We were on vacation with my family during her birthday so we had a party with them and when we got back we had a party with Bret's family.  Every year we talk about doing a party with friends but then it might be a good thing we haven't.  Molly does not like being the center of attention and gets so shy when we sing happy birthday to her and that is with just family!  Here are a few pics from both parties.
