This past Thursday Bret and I went to the
Viking Cooking School for a fun date night. We had a blast. I was kind of skeptical at first because I thought they would be watching and judging me but it was nothing like that. You were put into three groups of four people. You were just in teams so that you could help each other cook and prepare the meal. We started cooking around 6:00 and ate around 8:30. The chef that was in charge was there just to go around the room and make sure everything was coming out right and we were cooking on time. She was also there to answer any questions. The menu for the night was:
Mexican Shrimp Cocktail
Toasted Tortilla Soup
Jicama Salad with Tangerines and Candied Peanuts
Chicken with Green Mole
As a Bonus they had already made for us Mango Sorbet and Mexican Sangria.
By the way this is not the right way to hold a knife. I was just posing for the picture.
